Upload Files!

Update (September 12, 2011): We are now hosting uploaded files on our own servers. Users who have uploaded the sheet, not SheetExchange.com, are responsible for the ownership of uploaded material.

It's finally here! You can now upload file directly to SheetExchange.

What's more is that instead of just storing your files on our servers, your files will be uploaded to Scribd: a cool site to share your documents online. Scribd allows people to view your sheet online, print it, share it, download it in different formats, view it on their mobile phones and even more...

Of course, since the purpose of SheetExchange is "exchanging" sheets, you do not have to upload files. Say you want to privately exchange copyrighted scores. And if you want, you can still share links to online documents and use our bookmarklet to do it faster too.

Rate sheets and more...

In order to provide better access to useful music sheets we have enabled rating.

Currently you need to be registered and logged in to see ratings and rate. Once a good number of sheets are rated, we will enable more features such as sorting sheets by rating, etc.

We have also made a number of significant improvements to search and other behind-the-scene features of the site. You will not see more search results the before.

Since we've made many changes, there is a chance something might go wrong. If you notice any issues please let us know.

Enjoy!

Sign in with OpenID!

We have enabled a feature to let your sign in with any OpenID. This means you can use your Google, Facebook, Twitter or Yahoo! ID, as well as any OpenID url to sign in to Sheet Exchange.

To sign in with your OpenID, click on "Sign in with OpenID" below the sign in field. A box will open up to let your select a provider and sign in.

Once you sign in, if your OpenID is not already linked to your account, you have two options:
  • Sign in to Sheet Exchange with your existing username and we will link the accounts for the next time your log in.
  • Sign up for a new Sheet Exchange account. If you use the same email address provided by your OpenID provider you will be approved instantly. Otherwise, an activation email will be sent. In either case you do not need to select a password, unless you wish to.
You can use multiple OpenIDs with your Sheet Exchange account and, if you wish to, your can easily delete/unlink your linked OpenIDs by visiting your Profile page.

This is a brand new feature so we'd like to hear yours issues and/or comments.

Check out our newly redesigned site!

If you have logged in to SheetExchange in the past few days, you might have noticed a complete redesign of the site.

The new design load significantly faster, makes search and other menus more accessible to you and makes much better use of your screen space. Additionally, it brings a large number of small improvements that will make your experience with the site more pleasant.

Last but not least, we think the new design looks better! Hope you feel the same too. And we're almost out of Beta. Although your feedback is always appreciated.

But that's not all. Remember we recently allowed file uploads? Most users - in fact, everyone who added a sheet since we launched file uploads - upload their sheet online. So we changed pages such as the search page to show sheets that have a download link first. The only exception is "Latest Sheets" which shows all sheets in the order they were uploaded (most recent first).

Hope you enjoy the new design and all the smaller improvements!

Share links easier with our bookmarklet!

We've made it easier to share your online music sheets with our bookmarklet!

All you have to do is drag this bookmarklet into your browser:

Share Music Sheet

Now, whenever you want to share a sheet (that is available online) just go the sheet in your browser and click the bookmarklet. It will open a new tab or page to add the sheet information with link (URL) already filled in for you.

You can use this bookmarklet to easily share music sheets that you have stored on online file storage services such as Google docs, dropbox or box.net.
